Kamala Nair is the author of the novel The Girl in the Garden (Grand Central Publishing), which was translated into four languages, and became a national bestseller in Italy.
Raised in Rochester, MN, Kamala received her B.A. in English from Wellesley College, where she won The Academy of American Poets Prize. She went on to earn an M.Phil in Creative Writing from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland.
In 2017, Kamala was awarded a MacDowell Fellowship. Her design journalism is regularly featured in magazines, including ELLE Decor, Architectural Digest, and Luxe Interiors + Design.
A New Yorker at heart (where she spent most of her life), Kamala now lives in London with her husband and two children.
