Kamala Nair is the author of The Girl in the Garden (Grand Central Publishing), which was translated into four languages, and became a national bestseller in Italy.

She was raised in Vermont and Minnesota and studied English at Wellesley College, where she received the Academy of American Poets Prize, before completing an M.Phil in Creative Writing at Trinity College Dublin. Her work has been supported by a MacDowell fellowship.

In addition to her fiction, she is a design journalist whose writing has appeared in ELLE Decor, Architectural Digest, and Luxe Interiors + Design. She also runs a boutique copywriting and brand-messaging agency for interior designers and architects.

She now lives in the Cotswolds with her husband and
two children.
